Fed: Rebels linked to murder investigation
Police are refusing to rule out that members of the Rebels motorcycle gang may be linked
to a violent double murder in Queanbeyan that left three children orphaned.
A murder investigation is under way after a post mortem examination revealed a man
and woman found dead after a house fire in the southern New South Wales town on Thursday
morning had died from wounds inflicted before the fire began.
Monaro commander CHARLIE SANDERSON says detectives are looking at several people, but
have not yet ruled out reports members of the Rebels motorcycle gang may have been involved.
Dental records confirm DAVID JOHN MCNALLY, 35, died from gunshot wounds to the head
and upper body while ADELIA WILLIAMS, 32, was fatally stabbed in the upper body.
The dead woman's eight-year-old daughter saved her two brothers, aged six and four,
after escaping the burning house and dialling triple-0 on a cordless phone.
The six-year-old boy was shot twice in the head, but miraculously escaped serious injury
and was released from hospital last week.
